Welcome to Catching Pies Band: A collaboration of two old friends & co-workers; Ken Olsen, and Brian Whittaker. Ken is a husband and father, former company President, accountant, entrepreneur, business mentor and actor. Brian is a husband, former cost accountant, Business owner & entrepreneur.
Over the years, they have worked together in business and musically in the late 80's in the Niagara Region with a rock band called Seth Tucker and the Uptown Dudes,(a.k.a.) S.T.U.D.! After going their separate ways and following different paths, they reunited in early 2010 to revive a love of music, song writing and recording in Ken's studio in Niagara Falls, Canada. Thus, Catching Pies was formed. Initially, our goal was to write and produce music for TV and movies, but it was mostly just for the sheer pleasure of creating music. Sadly, Ken passed away in hospital on Canada Day, July 1st, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. However, the music will live on and this website is dedicated to our years of friendship and in his memory. Brian W.
